PSL 2023 Draft

The PSL draft is when the six teams in the league pick players to join their teams for the next season. The PSL 2023 draft was held on December 15th, 2022. Each team is allowed to pick a certain number of players from a pool of available players, which includes both local and international players.

The teams are picked in a certain order based on how well they did in the last season. The team that did the worst gets to pick first, and so on. This way, teams that didn’t do well last season can pick better players to make them stronger this season.

In the PSL 8 draft, famous players like David Miller, Alex Hales, Matthew Wade, and Wanindu Hasaranga were some of the top players picked. It’s going to be an exciting tournament and make sure you don’t miss out on the action, grab your tickets now.

Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, and Islamabad United all got a few first picks in different categories. But Multan Sultans was not so lucky, they got the first pick in the second round of the Gold category and the fifth round of the Silver category.

Quetta Gladiators

Quetta is one of the most successful teams in PSL history, but they haven’t been doing so well in recent seasons.

Led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, they want to come back strong after a disappointing last season. With players like Wanindu Hasaranga, Jason Roy, and Martin Guptill on their team, Quetta is one of the most exciting teams to watch in PSL 2023.

Peshawar Zalmi

Peshawar Zalmi wants to make a comeback in a big way and with the addition of Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, they look like a team to be reckoned with.

Babar will lead a team filled with stars, including fast bowler Wahab Riaz, powerful batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa from Sri Lanka, and T20 World Cup hero Mohammad Haris from Pakistan. This team has all the right players to go all the way in PSL 2023.

Islamabad United

Islamabad United is the only team to have won the PSL twice, but they were eliminated in the playoffs last season.

Led by Shadab Khan, they’ve added new players like Abrar Ahmed, Mubasir Khan, and English all-rounder Moeen Ali to a team that already includes stars like Alex Hales, Colin Munro, and a strong group of Pakistani players. Expect to see a lot of exciting play from this team in the PSL 2023.

Karachi Kings

Last season was not good for Karachi, they traded their star player Babar Azam to Peshawar Zalmi and brought in Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali.

But now, with the addition of Matthew Wade, Imran Tahir, and Tabraiz Shamsi, they have a well-rounded squad that can compete in the PSL 2023. Karachi is hoping to make a comeback and win their second PSL trophy.

Lahore Qalandars

Last season was a big surprise when Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, won their first PSL title. They will be looking to do it again and become multiple PSL champions.

They’ve added new players like Sikandar Raza, Liam Dawson, and Hussain Talat to their team without changing their strategy. Lahore is one of the favorites to win the PSL 2023. Don’t miss out on the chance to see them in action, grab your tickets now and get ready for an exciting tournament!

Multan Sultans

Multan Sultans wants to come back strong after losing in the final of the previous PSL edition and go all the way this time.

Led by star wicket-keeper and batter Mohammad Rizwan, they’ve added even more talent with players like David Miller, Josh Little, and Adil Rashid, making them one of the strongest teams in the tournament. Watch out for them to shine in the PSL 2023.
